Survival Probabilities and Gross Returns
The Ferry Locks demo requires you to preselect an exit lock between one and four. Each lock has a specific independent survival chance: the first lock is 80 percent, the second is 75 percent, the third is two-thirds, and the fourth is 50 percent. Reaching your chosen exit yields a gross return that includes your stake. Lock one returns 1.2 times your stake, lock two returns 1.6 times, lock three returns 2.4 times, and lock four returns 4.8 times. If you fail at any lock, the result is zero, and you lose the entire stake.
Stake Settlement and Fractional Arithmetic
Stakes are selected from options of 10, 25, 50, or 100 virtual coins, with 25 as the default. The full stake is deducted immediately at the start of the round and persists even if you reload the page before the round finishes. Payouts are calculated in hundredths of a coin. The system credits you with the floor of the whole coins from the gross return while keeping any fractional remainder between zero and 99 as a separate carry value. This carry is preserved and added to future winnings, ensuring precise arithmetic without losing small fractions.
Wallet Rules and Session Management
Your initial balance starts at 1000 virtual coins, which have no cash value. You can manually restore your balance to 1000 only when idle and your balance drops below 10. Restoring sets the balance to 1000 rather than adding to it. Controls for stake and starting are disabled while a round is active. If you reload the page, any unfinished round is discarded without a refund or resumption of the previous state. Automatic settlement occurs at the end of the reveal, and there is no manual stop or autoplay feature.
Frequently asked questions
What happens if I reload the page during a round?
The unfinished round is discarded without a refund. Your initial stake remains deducted, and you do not resume from where you left off.
How are fractional winnings handled in the demo?
Winnings are calculated in hundredths. The system credits the whole number floor to your balance and keeps the remainder as a separate fractional carry. This carry is preserved for future rounds.
